Chapter Philanthropy

To Lend to Those Less Fortunate a Helping Hand.

The ladies of the Alpha Rho chapter serve our community in various ways each year.

In previous years, Alpha Rho has held the Swing-a-thon for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, as well as, hosting the ULM Dance Marathon. Phi Mu sets up a large pink swing in the middle of ULM's campus. Our ladies take turns swinging, and the swing never stops for a full 24 hours! Money is donated from individuals and companies to keep our swing going! In addition to these two great fundraisers, we hold small fundraisers on campus throughout the year. These include cupcakes for kids, kiss away cancer, and drink pink lemonade stand.  This year we started the DodgeMu dodge ball tournament to raise money. All of the money we raise is donated to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

In recent years, Alpha Rho has become dedicated to being more active within our community. Our ladies have begun participating in various community service projects and are having so much fun. Some of our community service projects include collecting supplies for the animal shelter, reading to elementary school children, trunk or treat, face painting, Cinderella Project, and more.
