Phi Mu dominates at ULM's Student Life Awards!
This evening was ULM's annual Student Life Awards Banquet, and Phi Mu took home many awards. Here is a list of all of Phi Mu's awards from tonight! Phi Mu raises over $7700 for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals!
April 6 & 7th Phi Mu hosted its annual Swing for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals! Our ladies kept a swing moving in the middle of ULM's campus for 24 hours straight! Whether it was at 4 in the afternoon or 4 in the morning, our ladies kept the swing moving while raising money for CMNH and having fun as sisters! Awesome job Phi Mu! (read more)
Phi Mu loves TOMS!
This week was ULM's annual Spring Fever Week, and Phi Mus were actively involved in many activities. This year, the ULM TOMS organization hosted a "Style Your Sole" event, where students could buy TOMS shoes, paint shoes and canvases, and donate unused shoes. Phi Mus did everything from painting canvases to "Walking the Walk" where you can feel what its like for children to walk without shoes. Check out our album in the Photos tab! (read more)
ULM Greeks Give back
To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand... ULM Greeks held their annual Greek Retreat in Farmerville this weekend. Morgan Huggins selected for PREP Staff!
Phi Mu is honored to share that Morgan Huggins, sophomore, was selected as a PREP Staffer for 2010! PREP is ULM's freshman orientation program. About 16 students are selected for PREP staff each year. The PREP staff is one of the most elite student groups at ULM. Congratulations Morgan! (read more)

Greek Songfest

Phi Mu's Against Hazing
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Date: September 23, 2010 walkerap@warhawks.ulm.edu 318-471-9299 Phi Mus Against Hazing MONROE, LA—In support of National Hazing Prevention Week, Alpha Rho Chapter of Phi Mu Fraternity will utilize the Fraternity’s new “Phi Mus Against Hazing” program. The program was designed to share information and raise awareness about hazing. National Hazing Prevention Week (NHPW) will take place September 20-24, 2010. NHPW is supported by HazingPrevention.org, whose goal is to encourage healthy and productive experiences for new members of teams, student organizations, and fraternities and sororities. The Phi Mu Chapter at University of Louisiana at Monroe will present an educational chapter development program about hazing, distribute anti-hazing information on campus, and wear “Phi Mus Against Hazing” buttons throughout the week. Phi Mu will present the Fraternity’s “Phi Mus Against Hazing” chapter development program to members. The program was developed in cooperation with the Fraternity’s attorney, Sean Callan of Dinsmore & Shohl LLP. If a campus or local organization is interested in Phi Mu sharing resource information with their members, please contact Allison Walker (318-471-9299). Kris Bridges, Phi Mu Fraternity National President, said, “The goal of ‘Phi Mus Against Hazing’ is to show people that Phi Mu, our individual members, our chapters, and the national organization, does not believe in hazing nor tolerate it.” Founded in 1852, Phi Mu is a women’s organization which provides personal and academic development, service to others, commitment to excellence and lifelong friendship through a shared tradition. Phi Mu promotes vibrant living, encouraging members to achieve their personal best. The Alpha Rho Chapter of Phi Mu has been on the University of Louisiana at Monroe since April 14, 1956. (read more)
PIKE Fest 2010 Champions!
The women of Phi Mu are the offical winners of PIKE Fest 2010! This is a competition between each of the 3 sororities of ULM's campus, hosted by the wonderful men of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. The games this year included basketball free throws, 5 legged race, egg drop relay, and so much more, and Phi Mu rose above the rest! We were also the winners of the biggest game of them all, Tug of War! Congrats Ladies!! (read more)
